pregnant woman

A pregnancy is considered high risk when there are potential complications that could affect you, the baby or both of you. Grand View Health, in affiliation with Lehigh Valley Health Network, offers the services of obstetricians specially trained to manage high-risk pregnancies. Known as perinatologists or maternal-fetal medicine specialists, these obstetricians offer outpatient appointments at Grand View and provide consultations to patients in the hospital. They perform high-level ultrasound examinations to evaluate the fetus and provide counseling for high-risk and complicated pregnancies. Their care is coordinated with pediatric specialists.

Please note that you will need a physician’s order or prescription from your obstetrician/gynecologist to receive maternal fetal medicine services.
