Jane A. Ferry, MD, has announced her plans to step down as Vice President and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Grand View Health this summer.

Dr. Ferry was named CMO in 1989. Among her many distinguished accomplishments, Ferry supported Grand View Health’s accreditation as a Level II Trauma Center, providing the highest level of trauma designation in upper Bucks and Montgomery counties.

Dr. Ferry was part of the leadership team working with Penn Medicine that developed clinical programs in cancer, orthopedics and trauma aimed at elevating healthcare for the community. Most recently, she led a collaboration with Penn Medicine to bring tele-stroke and tele-neurology services to Grand View Health, a designated Primary Stroke Center.

During her tenure as CMO, Ferry spearheaded numerous projects, including the Integrated Delivery Network, a physician-led, physician-driven initiative aimed at delivering high-quality, cost-effective care to the community. She also was instrumental in the addition of Urgent Care centers and the Critical Care service for the Intensive Care Unit.

A personal passion has been her ongoing compassionate work as the Medical Leader of a not-for-profit health delivery mission program in rural Kenya. Through Blair in Kenya, Ferry has developed community-based health clinics providing nutritional assessment and support, primary care and malarial treatment programs in Kenyan villages.

Dr. Ferry is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. She received her medical training at Penn State University College of Medicine, Temple University School of Medicine and the University of Minnesota Medical Center. She also earned a Master of Medical Management degree from Carnegie Mellon University.

As CMO, Ferry was named Associate Dean for Medical Education at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, Temple University.
