Monique Gary, DO, Medical Director of the Grand View Health / Penn Cancer Network Cancer Program, is one of five women recognized as a 2022 Donna Noce Colaco Going Beyond honoree by Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC).
Dr. Gary was recognized for her tireless work changing the conversation about breast cancer in neighborhoods, communities, healthcare systems and research organizations. She received the award at the LBBC Butterfly Ball, held on Saturday, Nov. 5.
LBBC offers a community of support — from closed Facebook groups to volunteer opportunities to DIY fundraising and more — to help people get through the medical, emotional, legal and financial challenges of having breast cancer. Dr. Gary is a member of the LBBC Advisory Board.
