We’re here because our close-knit community cares. Our staff are grateful to serve generations of families that come here and stay here for Grand View Health’s highly personalized care. As the first hospital in Bucks County, charitable donations from grateful patients and the community allow us to continue to deliver the highest quality of healthcare, close to home.,
Karin Carver, Grand View Health employee for 28 years, recently welcomed her first grandson into the world. From her father Terry to her daughter Sierra and now her grandson Spencer, this little bundle of joy marks four generations of her family born at Grand View Hospital. Karin and her sister Linda choose Grand View because they know they will get good care for their family. Three years ago, Karin was on break during her shift as a supervisor in Food and Nutrition Services when her coworkers noticed something was wrong and rushed her to the Emergency Department. For the first time, she learned that she has epilepsy and was having an absence seizure. Now, she sees neurologist Dr. Richard Buckler for her care. “I like that he explains things in a way that I can understand him. It’s nice to have a doctor that remembers you and always says hi when I see him in passing.”
Not all visits to Grand View are planned. Last year, Karin’s mother Betsy was visiting from Maine and broke her leg from a fall. Grand View’s Medic 151 EMS responded immediately taking Betsy by ambulance to Grand View where she received the care and rehab services necessary to get her back on her feet. Karin’s aunt Diane also reminisces, “I will be forever grateful to Grand View for the care my husband Dale received while struggling with Parkinson’s disease and when needing hospice at the end of his life.”
Whether it be delivering grandbabies in our maternity department or end of life care and everything in between, we’re here to meet all of your family’s health needs to help keep you active and making memories with your loved ones. “There are quite a few friendships that I’ve valued with the staff over the years. The people here simply care,” said Karin.
You have the power to do amazing life-changing good in your community by helping us serve generations of families like the Carvers. Please consider making a gift to Grand View Health Foundation. It can be directed to an area of your personal interest. Whether it be extending life for our tiniest patients in our neonatal intensive care unit or supporting our emergency services, any amount that you can give will be a meaningful gift for Grand View patients.
