Labor and Delivery Preparation – VIRTUAL/ONLINE

Monday, May 6 at 5:00 p.m.7:30 p.m.

Expectant parents, join us for a labor and delivery preparation class led by a childbirth educator/labor and delivery nurse. Learn what you’ll need to make informed decisions about the birth of your baby, such as signs of labor, labor coping techniques, and the role of your support person. Medical procedures and medication options will also be discussed.

Birth & Family Center Maternity Tours

Sunday, May 12 at 1:00 p.m.2:00 p.m.

We are pleased to welcome expectant parents to tour the Birth and Family Center at Grand View Health. We cover a lot of important information to help you prepare for the delivery of your little one, so please schedule your tour at or after week 24 of your pregnancy.

Your tour will include everything from our spacious private rooms, to dining, security, visitor guidelines and more.

We pride ourselves on delivering a peaceful, comforting and healthy environment for parents and their newborns. Tours are limited to expectant mothers and one support partner. No children are permitted to tour our unit and registration for both the expectant mom and her support partner is required.

Please park in the front of the new hospital building, facing Lawn Avenue and sign in at the main entrance.

Tiny Wonders: Newborn Care – VIRTUAL/ONLINE

Tuesday, May 14 at 5:30 p.m.7:30 p.m.

Prepare yourself for when your baby comes home with our newborn care class. A Grand View Health nurse educator will present valuable information including skills to calm and soothe your baby, when to call the doctor, caring for a healing circumcision, umbilical cord care and what to expect during the first few weeks with your newborn. Learn about newborn assessments and procedures while in the hospital.
