A&T Subaru and the LLS Eastern PA-Delaware have teamed up once again in an effort to bring a touch of comfort and encouragement to patients undergoing cancer treatment at Grand View Health and Alliance Cancer Specialists.

This initiative involves the distribution of comfort blankets, arts and crafts kits, and uplifting notes written by A&T Subaru customers and team members. This partnership is built on the shared commitment of both organizations to support and uplift the spirits of those battling cancer.

“Our partnership with LLS Eastern PA-Delaware is more than just about providing material comfort. It’s about letting patients know that they are not alone in their fight,” said Joe Fost, General Manager at A&T Subaru.

The comfort blankets are designed to provide physical warmth and emotional support to the patients. The arts & crafts kits aim to offer a creative outlet and a means of distraction during treatment sessions, while the handwritten notes are meant to convey words of encouragement and strength.

“These donations create a meaningful difference in the lives of people undergoing cancer treatment at Grand View Health. We are grateful for the time, effort and generosity that makes these gifts possible,” said Monique Gary, DO, Medical Director, Grand View Health Cancer Program.

This is the eighth year that A&T Subaru has worked with LLS Eastern PA-Delaware as part of the Subaru Loves to Care program. Since 2016, Subaru and its retailers have partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to donate over 167,000 blankets and 21,500 arts & crafts kits and reached nearly 150,000 patients in more than 780 hospitals nationwide.

“This collaborative initiative with A&T Subaru is an embodiment of our mission at LLS – to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families,” said Ruby Nava-Ramos, MPH; Manager, Patient & Community Outreach; LLS Eastern PA-Delaware.

The community is invited to participate by visiting the A&T Subaru showroom at 801 Bethlehem Pike, Sellersville through the end of June to sign a message of hope for a patient fighting cancer. Or visit http://www.lls.org/subaru to learn more and to send a digital message of hope.
