The Adult Volunteer Program at Grand View Health is designed for volunteers 18 years old and over. Volunteers assist in fulfilling the needs of patients and lend a hand to our staff. Whether volunteers give their time and talents monthly or weekly, their contributions are always appreciated. Areas where volunteer opportunities make a difference include:
- Patient Support: Volunteers assist patients on nursing, surgical and emergency units by making beds, handing out beverages and transporting patients to therapy.
- Patient Comfort & Entertainment: Volunteers serve in areas such as hair care, chaplaincy, library services and the therapy dog program.
- Non-Patient Support: Volunteers assist staff members with computer, clerical and organizational tasks.
- Customer Service: Volunteers operate Grand View’s information desk and the “Grand View Gofer” golf cart transportation between the parking lot and the hospital. Volunteers also work in our Gift Shop.
