Univest Financial, a growing regional financial services company with deep ties to the communities it serves, announced today that it’s making a $300,000 pledge toward Grand View Health Foundation’s This Is Us Together campaign.

Univest’s pledge will help improve critical healthcare infrastructure by supporting the new six-story, 190,000-square-foot Grand View Hospital pavilion that will open here next summer.

“Univest believes we’re only as strong as the communities we serve, and one area we focus our giving is in health and social services,” says Jeff Schweitzer, President and Chief Executive Officer, Univest Financial Corporation. “We’re a longtime supporter and are proud to invest in the extraordinary growth of Grand View Hospital. We are excited for the positive impact it will have on the quality of care for people in Bucks and Montgomery counties.”

Univest’s pledge to support the This Is Us Together campaign signifies its ongoing dedication to its Committed To Local philanthropic giving program. In 2021, Univest donated $2.1 million to the communities it serves and its employees volunteered nearly 11,000 hours.

Univest is the latest regional partner to support This Is Us Together, which is rapidly approaching its fundraising goal of $14 million. “The closer we get to our goal, the stronger we can make healthcare throughout our region,” says Sandy Alderfer, Grand View Health Foundation Board Chair and Campaign Chair.

Grand View Hospital’s new pavilion, which the campaign supports, will include 52 private patient rooms, 10 state-of-the-art operating rooms, and a new Emergency Department and rooftop helipad to support Grand View Health’s Level II Adult Trauma Center, the only level II trauma center in Upper Bucks County.

“Grand View Health continues to build positive momentum as we grow forward and continue to enhance the level of care available to people close to home,” said Douglas Hughes, RN, BSN, MBA, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Grand View Health. “We’re extraordinarily fortunate to have organizations like Univest who recognize the value we bring to our community and who are willing to partner with us to expand our mission.”
