Sarah Ott Carlin touched countless lives as a social worker and advocate for children. Sadly, Sarah, 39, passed away in July 2020 in a traumatic motor vehicle accident. As her family waited for information about her condition at another area hospital, they sought solace in a private room to process their emotions.

That experience — and Sarah’s willingness to always help others — inspired Sarah’s mother, Judith Ott, a member of Grand View Health’s Board of Trustees, to create similar private waiting areas at Grand View Hospital.

On #GivingTuesday, we ask that you make a gift to the Sarah E. (Ott) Carlin Memorial.

With your support, her legacy will bring comfort to others through private family waiting spaces planned for Grand View Health’s new pavilion. These spaces will be part of the hospital’s pavilion project, located near the upgraded Emergency Room and new Level II Trauma Center to support families whose loved ones suffer serious injuries and need emergency or trauma care.
