Special Video Message from Sandy Alderfer, Vice Chair, Grand View Health Foundation Board of Trustees

All community members deserve access to the best possible healthcare without having to leave their community, their family, and friends. On #GivingTuesday, we ask that you help locally by directing your gift to these three critical areas.

Grand View Medic 151 Ambulance Service

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) have always been critical, but especially during the pandemic. The ambulance service is purchasing one new ambulance for its fleet and replacing four EKG monitors used for pre-hospital monitoring and defibrillation. Donations to Medic 151 strengthen quality of life for community members with upgraded ambulance equipment and improved response time to 911 emergency calls.

Patient-At-Risk Rooms

In response to the growing need for behavioral health services, construction plans for the Grand View Health Pavilion include four patient-at-risk rooms in the 28-room Emergency Department. Untreated conditions like depression, anxiety, and PTSD result in high utilization of emergency departments, persisting rates of suicide, and substance use and abuse. Rooms will feature a “garage door” at the headwall that can be lowered to restrict access to equipment with cords and projectiles to help prevent suicides and injuries.

Level II Adult Trauma Center

Grand View Health’s trauma center cares for the most critically injured patients in the community. Before pursuing accreditation, there was a 40-60-minute drive from our service area to the nearest Level I or II Trauma Center. Grand View is now the only Level II Trauma Center in Upper Bucks north of Langhorne and in Northern Montgomery Counties. Operating out of the current Emergency Department, the trauma center will benefit from facility upgrades like three new trauma bays in a newly constructed 28-room Emergency Department and a rooftop helipad that will help expedite care. Donations to trauma support construction expenses and new equipment for the trauma program.

Trustee Matching Gift Challenge
