Updated Visitation Policy for Clergy

The COVID-19 pandemic compels us to make difficult decisions regarding the spiritual support we can offer patients. We remain vigilant to ensure the safety and protection of our patients, community and our workforce and we find a more limited visitor policy is necessary.

Community clergy are permitted to visit patients. Pastoral care services are available at Grand View Health to support and attend to patients’ diverse spiritual needs. Contact our chaplain at 215-453-4970 or spaek@gvh.org.

Masks

Visitors wearing N95 masks with vents, gators, fabric masks or shields (without an accompanying approved mask) are not permitted. Anyone visiting with these masks will be provided with an approved mask to be worn at all times during their visit to any of our physician practices or facilities.

In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations and Governor Wolf’s directives, all patients will wear a surgical mask at all times except when in a room alone. This includes:

  • On entrance to the hospital.
  • When being transported.
  • When a health care worker or other visitor enters their room.
