A storied holiday tradition continued last night as the Grand View Health Auxiliary presented its 40th annual Festival of Lights. The dedication ceremony was hosted in the mezzanine of the new Pavilion at Grand View Health for the first time.
Thanks to the generosity of community members, the event raised more than $20,000 to support services at Grand View Health.
Each year in the weeks leading up to Festival of Lights, community members make contributions to Grand View Auxiliary to:
- Memorialize a loved one
- Honor a person or organization
- Salute a veteran
- Recognize a cancer survivor
- Celebrate the birth of a baby
Last night’s Festival of Lights dedication ceremony included a reading of the names of those honored. It also featured holiday music performed by RE:NEW Bible Church of Perkasie and an illumination of the holiday trees.
“Seeing the Pavilion aglow with holiday lights for the first time and knowing that people throughout our community helped to make that happen was tremendously heartwarming,” said Irene Roberts, who serves as Co-Chair of Festival of Lights along with Barbara Matkowski. “We are beyond grateful to continue this beloved tradition and we’re already looking forward to the 41st Annual Festival of Lights in 2024”.
