Pennridge High School’s ‘Pink Out’ Raises More Than $7,700 for Grand View Health Breast Cancer Services

Students from Pennridge High School raised $7,761 last month by hosting a variety of festivities during its annual “Pink Out” event. Held annually each October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Pink Out supports breast cancer services at Grand View Health.

Since its inception, Pink Out has raised a total of $57,742.

This year’s Pink Out events included:

  • Pink Out Football Game – Pennridge Student Council raised $5,500 during the October 4 game through T-shirt sales and donations.
  • Pink Out Water Polo Game – The Pennridge High School and Souderton High School water polo teams raised $1,630 through T-shirt and swim cap sales, gift basket raffles and cash donations at their October 3 match. Referee Bill Hence donated $100 of his pay, which was matched by Pennridge water polo coach Dave Apple.
  • Pennridge Men’s Soccer Team – Raised $631 during the September 28 game through T-shirt sales, donations and one-half of all snack stand proceeds.

The Pennridge Student Council and Men’s Soccer team are joined by Vickie Keeler, Executive Director, Oncology Service Line, Grand View Health, and Suzanne Rush, Breast Care Coordinator, Grand View Health.
