It is with great sadness that we announce the Grand View family has lost a devoted manager, colleague and friend with the death of Bob Emert on Tuesday morning. Bob was the Manager of Technical Services and worked at Grand View since 1993. He was instrumental in growing the technology capabilities of the organization and was often referred to as the “Wizard of IT.” Bob loved Grand View and referred to his colleagues as his second family. Every single one of us benefited from his technical expertise, but mostly from his kind heart. Bob was more than our co-worker he was a dear friend who was constantly upbeat and kind. This deep loss is felt greatly by all who knew and loved him.
Bob is survived by his wife Ida of 33 years; his mother Clara; a son Robert; daughter Colleen; and granddaughter Lily. In addition, he is survived by three siblings; one of which is Wendy Detweiler, also a Grand View Health employee. Please keep Bob, his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 7, at Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, PA. Visitations will be held on Sunday, November 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. and on Monday, November 7 from 10 to11 a.m., all at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to the Grand View Health Foundation, 700 Lawn Ave., Sellersville, PA 18960.
