Visiting Hours & Policies
At Grand View, we know that visits from loved ones and friends can play a vital role in patient recovery. While we welcome visitors, we ask that you follow Grand View’s visiting hours and policies.
Free visitor parking is available in the parking lots adjacent to the hospital. Parking for the handicapped is provided on the circle drive near the hospital’s main entrance. Additional handicapped parking is available behind the hospital, near the employee entrance. Parking is not permitted directly in front of either entrance.
The “Grand View Gofer” golf cart, which provides rides to patients and visitors from the parking area to the hospital entrance, is usually available Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
An automated teller machine is located on the first floor near the Outpatient Entrance.
The hospital offers a cafeteria, coffee bar and a vending area. GVH visitors are welcome to dine in the hospital’s cafeteria, located on the second floor. Featured are hot meals, soups, salads and deli bars, grill to order items, soft serve, desserts, snack items and hot and cold beverages. Click here for hours and more details.
Flowers & Balloons
Hospital volunteers deliver mail, flowers, and mylar balloons to patients in their rooms. Please note that flowers are not permitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Only balloons made of mylar, a foil material that holds helium, are permitted in the hospital. Balloons made of other materials such as latex are prohibited because many patients and staff members are allergic to latex.
Our Gift Shop
Staffed by hospital volunteers, the Corner Cupboard Gift Shop, located off the Hospital main lobby, has a unique selection of cards, fresh flowers, candy, baby items, beverages, newspapers, jewelry and other wonderful gift items. Click here for more details.
Safety & Security
Questions about hospital safety and/or security can be addressed by asking the switchboard operator to page a security officer on duty.
Smoking and other tobacco products are prohibited in all Grand View buildings and on all Grand View property. This restriction applies to all patients, visitors and staff
For many patients, spiritual comfort in times of illness, injury or the death of a loved one can be an important part of the healing process. The unexpected fears and overwhelming threat of an uncertain future can often send patients and their families in search of spiritual as well as emotional and physical healing. That’s why we provide all patients access to our chapel and pastoral support services. Learn more.
Grand View’s free guest wireless network may be accessed by patients and visitors throughout the hospital and Outpatient Center lobbies. To access the network, allow your device to discover available wi-fi connections, select the “GVH-guest” network, and accept the internet use policy.
A flyer or brochure detailing wireless accessibility is available in patient rooms or from your nurse.
