Cardiac Cath Lab
About Our Services
Providing diagnostic and interventional treatment for coronary heart disease and vascular disease, the highly experienced physicians of the David M. Flowers, MD, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory use state-of-the-art equipment to test heart function and examine critical blood flow to the heart and vessels.
Commonly used to examine the heart, cardiac catheterization obtains important information about heart function, such as the identification of a blockage that might cause a heart attack. Patients experiencing heart attack, also called a myocardial infarction (MI), are treated in the Cath Lab with the goal of opening the blocked artery within 90 minutes, a standard exceeded by our skilled medical team. Interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists also use the high-tech laboratory to diagnose and treat peripheral vascular disease, deterring infection and limb loss.
• Diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease
• Coronary interventional procedures, including cardiac
catheterization, balloon angioplasty and stenting
• Diagnosis and treatment of peripheral vascular issues
using catheter-based interventions
