Grand View Health Radiation Oncology

Grand View Health offers a full range of advanced treatments in radiation oncology through our expanded partnership with the Penn Cancer Network. As part of this partnership, patients in our region receive the highest-quality cancer treatments close to home at Grand View Hospital, directed by radiation oncologists from Penn Radiation Oncology.

Our hospital offers patients leading-edge radiation oncology technology, including a sophisticated linear accelerator. It maps the exact location of a tumor and conforms dosage to its precise size, shape, and volume. The linear accelerator administers higher doses of radiation in a shorter amount of time while sparing nearby tissue, allowing us to treat cancer with fewer and shorter radiation therapy sessions.

Radiation Oncology Treatments

  • 3-D Conformal Radiation Therapy (3DCRT)
  • Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
  • Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)
  • Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)

Penn Cancer Network Affiliation

The Penn Cancer Network offers a system of care between Grand View Health and Penn Medicine. This gives patients receiving care at Grand View Health access to the latest diagnostic tests, treatments, and supportive care, including Penn’s extensive clinical trials program.

The relationship also makes it possible for providers at Grand View Health to evaluate patients and collaborate on treatment plans with Penn Medicine providers. Patients receive care at Grand View Health and, when medically appropriate, may be referred to Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center, home to the Roberts Proton Therapy Center and other world-class treatments.
