Mammography

Annual mammograms are an important screening for women aged 40 or older. At Grand View, we offer convenient and comprehensive breast care services.

Who should have a mammogram?

If you are a woman, aged 40 or older, Grand View Health recommends you have a mammogram annually.

Advantages of 3D mammography (tomosynthesis):

  • Safety-3D mammography uses the lowest possible dose of radiation
  • Greater visibility and better understanding of breast tissue, particularly for women with dense breast tissue
  • Highly precise detection of the size, shape and location of abnormalities
  • Results in lower incidences of biopsies
  • Reduced need for follow-up imaging
