Grand View Health presented its second Life of Volunteer Excellence (LOVE) Award in 2015 to Jean Fillman. Following her 34-year career as a nurse, Fillman joined Grand View Health’s volunteer program in 1989 and has contributed more than 4,525 hours of service.
Her volunteer hours are spent supporting the Industrial Medicine Program performing clerical tasks such as filing, collating packets, organizing paperwork and stamping envelopes. Fillman was nominated for the LOVE award because of her passion to help others, including medical staff and patients, in simple yet meaningful ways.
When she isn’t volunteering at Grand View, Fillman enjoys water aerobics, knitting, spending time with her 12 grandchildren and reading. Fillman has four children and her husband, Dennis, has three. She resides in Souderton.
