Grand View Health announced today the opening of its first Urgent Care center, Grand View Urgent Care, in Kulpsville, Pa. Located minutes from the Pennsylvania Turnpike on the corner of Forty Foot Road and Sumneytown Pike, Grand View Urgent Care aims to provide prompt, customer-focused, quality urgent care services with convenient hours and shorter visit times to those with common illnesses and injuries.
Equipped with an experienced team of board-certified physicians, including Jane Ferry, MD, Gregory M. Singer, MD, and Louis Spikol, MD, Grand View Urgent Care will serve as a convenient care alternative for patients who are unable to see their primary care physician or medical specialist right away, or if after-hours care is needed. The center is also an option for those with illnesses or injuries that do not require a visit to the hospital emergency room, such as cold and flu, cuts and bruises, sprains and strains, among other conditions.
The newly renovated 4,400 square foot facility features four exam rooms, one procedure room, on-site lab, X-ray and pharmacy. In addition to offering medical treatment to common illnesses and injuries, other offerings include drug and alcohol screenings, electrocardiogram (EKG) services, physicals for school, sports or driver’s licenses, work related post-accident care and vaccinations. Shortly after the center’s opening in October, patients will have the opportunity to schedule an urgent care appointment from the comfort of their home or mobile device through an online scheduling system in an effort to minimize wait times even further.
“Grand View Urgent Care is not only a strategic initiative to expand our services beyond the walls of the hospital, but most importantly a commitment to the health and well-being of our community,” said Jean M. Keeler, JD, Grand View Health president and CEO. “We want people to know that we are here for them from the everyday to the unexpected, when it is urgent and when they need us most.”
“We are thrilled to be opening our doors to the residents of Kulpsville, Lansdale and the surrounding areas,” said Grand View Urgent Care Director, Jacki Howenstein, MSN, RN, CEN. “Our experienced team is eager to serve patients and align with primary care practitioners to provide convenient urgent care services to children, adolescents and adults.”
Grand View Urgent Care will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekends. Most major insurance plans accepted.
