Grand View Hospice today announced its achievement of ‘We Honor Veterans Partner Level Four,’ the highest recognition of the Veterans-focused program. We Honor Veterans, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), invites hospices, state hospice organizations, Hospice-Veteran Partnerships and VA facilities to join a pioneering program focused on respectful inquiry, compassionate listening and grateful acknowledgment.
By recognizing the unique needs of America’s veterans and their families, community providers, in partnership with the VA staff, learn how to accompany and guide them through their life stories toward a more peaceful ending. This latest achievement reflects the continued commitment and dedication of the Grand View Hospice program to ensure Veterans have access to quality end-of-life care.
“Grand View Hospice is a proud Level Four Partner of the We Honor Veterans organization,” said Grand View Health Post-Acute Care Director, Donna Manning. “We are committed to serving the veterans in our community to provide unique hospice care, just as they were committed to serving their country for our freedoms.”
