Grand View Health Launches This Is Us Together Campaign at 2021 Annual Meeting

October 11th, 2021

Grand View Health has announced the launch of the This Is Us Together capital campaign to ensure the healthcare system is ready for what’s next, while continuing to deliver exceptional healthcare close to home.

The announcement was made by Sandy Alderfer, Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Grand View Health Foundation, at the 2021 Annual Meeting that took place outside the new Grand View Health Dublin Outpatient Center.

Grand View Health is in the process of upgrading its facilities to match its high-quality programs and create the ideal patient experience—one that integrates exciting breakthroughs in medicine with Grand View’s distinctive culture of caring. Funds will benefit the 190,000-square-foot, six-story, $197 million hospital expansion project, which includes 10 new Operating Rooms, 52 private patient rooms, and a new Emergency Department with 28 treatment rooms including three trauma bays to support our new Level II Trauma Center that was accredited on September 1.

“Since 1913, our community has sustained us. All of us at Grand View Health are proud to be a part of a community that has steadfastly supported our mission and our goals. And now, with a transformational project in front of us, we are coming to you for your support. The This Is Us Together capital campaign has a goal of $14 million, our largest goal ever, to support our largest building project ever. We hope you will be inspired to join us,” Alderfer said at the Annual Meeting, attendees of which included the Grand View Health Foundation and Grand View Health Boards of Trustees, hospital management, Medical Staff and guests.

Grand View Health’s new Level II Trauma Center demonstrates the lifesaving benefits of bringing next-level healthcare to the local community. The scariest part of trauma is that it can happen to anyone, at any time. Hundreds of community members have already benefitted from lifesaving care that gave them another chance at life — a chance that might not have been possible without the local access to high-quality trauma care.

The hospital expansion is scheduled to open in 2023, and nearly $4 million is already committed to the campaign at this time. Naming opportunities are available starting at the $5,000 level. For more information or to make a gift, please visit gvh.org/together.
