Macular degeneration, the leading cause of vision loss, is a deterioration of the macula, the small central area of the retina of the eye that causes blurred or no vision in the center of the eye. While macular degeneration cannot be cured or reversed, progression of the disease can be slowed or stopped. In this seminar you’ll learn what causes macular degeneration, warning signs if you have the beginning stages of the disease, diagnostic testing and treatments most commonly used, including injections.

Speaker: Ophthalmologist, Leo Santamarina, MD
