Women's Health Services
Women's Health Services of Grand View Hospital strive to nurture women through life's journey by helping them maintain good health and prevent disease while promoting the general wellness of women in the community. Grand View encourages women to remember their own health. A great place to start is by getting routine checkups. Using state-of-the-art screening and diagnostic equipment, our experienced technicians help women detect health issues and diseases in the early, most treatable stages. Grand View uses digital mammography, the preferred method for many women since it offers superior clarity and better views of some parts of the breast. Other screening options include breast ultrasound and breast MRI. At Grand View, our Breast Care Coordinator expedites testing and treatment, explains options and results, and provides support and education. Grand View’s Birth and Family Center follows a family-centered approach to childbirth, offering something for every member of the new family. Everyone - mom, dad, siblings, and grandparents - has been carefully included in our planning process to help make parenting the best it can be. Healthy Beginnings Plus, a program for low-income pregnant women, helps ensure healthy pregnancies and babies. Other women’s health services include osteoporosis screening, which uses DEXA bone-density units to provide information on bone health. Women’s health educators offer private consultations on osteoporosis, postpartum issues, stress reduction, menopause and general wellness. In addition, Grand View’s Health Promotion and Wellness Department provides educational programming on these and many other women’s health issues. Services Include:
