Medical Access Program
Medical Care, Despite the Ability to Pay
The Medical Access Program of Grand View Hospital provides help now to obtain tests and care for an illness or other health problems. We’ll also advise you on finding help for future care.
What is the Medical Access Program?
The Grand View Hospital Medical Access Program helps people get the medical care they need right away. The program can provide you with low-cost medical care for a short time. How much help you receive is based on what you can or cannot afford.
To participate in our program, you must first meet with our social workers. Please bring your check stubs from your paycheck, unemployment compensation or Social Security income to your meeting. This will help to prove that you would have a hard time paying your medical bills. Our social workers will need to know how many people are in your family. They will ask you who gets money from a job or anywhere else. Our social workers will let you know if you can be part of the program. At that time – and not before – you may be able to get tests and services at lower costs.
Who Coordinates the Program?
The Grand View Hospital Medical Access Committee is made up of of hospital leaders, doctors and social workers.
