Radiology Services

Radiology, or Diagnostic Imaging, is a multi modality department utilizing state of the art Radiographic equipment (X-ray), as well as Ultrasound (sound waves) and Nuclear Medicine to assist your physician in your health care.

Grand View Imaging modalities offers expanded outpatient hours including evenings and weekends for your convenience. All procedures are interpreted by Board Certified Radiologists specially trained in each modality.

Bone Density Testing
State-of-the-art, dual-energy X-ray absorptometry (DEXA) equipment produces accurate bone density measurements by generating a narrowly focused X-ray beam to detect early bone loss of the hip and spine. A technologist, an expert in the use of this equipment, using a very low dose of radiation, will perform this quick and painless exam. This is used in the detection of osteoporosis and assessment of its severity to help develop a treatment plan.

CAT Scan
Officially known as Computed Tomography, is a non-invasive procedure producing a cross-sectional look at the inside of the body. High-speed scanning allows studies to be performed in minutes while you lie comfortably on the table.

Diagnostic Imaging
provides state of the art diagnostic services. Our department offers services by appointment with time and dates to meet the toughest schedules.

Interventional Radiology
Offers not only diagnostic procedures, but therapeutic procedures as well. Board Certified Radiologists use advanced imaging technology to treat many conditions that previously required surgery.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Is a complex technology that allows physicians to look inside the body. MRI imaging is extremely sensitive to soft tissue to assist in the evaluation of the body's organs. Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) is also a study commonly performed at Grand view Hospital.

Mammography
Grand View Hospital reminds women age 40 and older to get their yearly screening mammography—an important tool in identifying breast cancer in the early stages when it is most treatable. Grand View combines state-of-the-art screening technology, including digital mammography and breast ultrasound, with convenient locations and scheduling.

Nuclear Medicine
Uses a small amount of radioactive material to assist in the diagnosis of disease. There are two steps to this imaging; radioactive Isotopes are injected into the body and imaging on a state of the art spect camera takes place several hours after the injection.

Ultrasound
Accreditated by the ACR, and Non-Invasive Vascular (NIV) accreditated by ICAVL offers a complete array of routine and emergent procedures from a routine fetal profile to finding arterial clots. Grand View Hospital is here and ready for you.
