(Published February 7, 2008) – Employees at Grand View Hospital showed their support of women’s heart disease awareness by wearing something red on Friday, February 1 in celebration of National Wear Red Day. All employees, who were able to attend during their shift, gathered in the hospital’s main lobby for a photo shoot.
National Wear Red Day was created in 2002 by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute to generate more awareness of women’s heart disease. The campaign provides an opportunity for everyone to participate in this life-saving awareness movement by wearing a favorite red dress, shirt, tie or Red Dress Pin. |
