Grand View Hospital Opens New Joint Replacement Center

Sellersville, PA, Jan. 3, 2008 – Grand View Hospital is opening its new Joint Replacement Center. The only one of its kind in the area, the new Joint Replacement Center offers patients spacious, private rooms, a multi-purpose gym also used as a large patient dining and family lounging area and more.

The community is invited to attend an open house of the new Joint Replacement Center on Saturday, Jan. 12. Drop in anytime between noon and 4 pm to tour the unit and speak with staff members, including orthopaedic surgeons, physical therapists and the joint center coordinator.

“Our larger patient rooms will enable patients to move around more easily,” says Joint Replacement Center Coordinator, Janice Hunsberger, RN. “Being the only unit on the fourth floor, patients will be removed from the hub-bub of the rest of the hospital, making it easier to remain focused on rehabilitation,” Hunsberger adds.

The Joint Replacement Center at Grand View Hospital offers patients a wide range of joint replacement services. From patient and family education and modern surgical techniques to physical and occupational therapies and home care, patients receive continuous, comprehensive care from one of the region’s most experienced orthopaedic staffs. Surgical procedures offered include minimally invasive surgery, computer-assisted orthopaedic surgery and reverse shoulder replacement surgery.

“Not only do we offer modern advances and technologies in orthopaedics, we genuinely care about our patients. There’s no need for patients to look beyond Grand View for expert, compassionate, care. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more talented group,” says Paul Weidner, MD, of Upper Bucks Orthopaedic Associates.
