Grand View Hospital Delivers Region’s First Baby of the
New Year
Baby boy born at 12:05 a.m. on New Year’s Day
SELLERSVILLE, Pa. – Just five minutes after midnight on New Year’s Day, the region’s first baby of the New Year was delivered at Grand View Hospital. Parents Andrea and Garrett Dunning of Perkasie, Pa. welcomed their new baby boy – Ryan – who weighed in at seven pounds, nine ounces and was 20 ½ inches long.
In addition to the widespread publicity, the Dunnings’ received numerous gifts that went along with the title of the first baby of the New Year. A hand-made quilt, personalized with Ryan’s name, was part of a special presentation made by members of the Keystone Quilters. They also received gift baskets from Grand View Hospital and Babies “R” Us, as part of a promotion for the first baby born at the hospital.
It is the first baby born in Bucks, Montgomery, Lehigh and Northampton counties.
