GVH Presents Ellis Greenspan Memorial Award

(Published May 25, 2007) WEST ROCKHILL TOWNSHIP, PA – Grand View Hospital recently presented Ryan Whitcomb, RN with the Ellis Greenspan Memorial Award. Established by cardiologist Mitchell M. Greenspan M.D. and family, the award is presented in memory of his father. A monetary award is given at a special ceremony and the recipient’s name is recorded on a plaque which is hung in the hospital.

The recipient of the award exemplifies the “heart of nursing,” by consistently demonstrating compassion, care and understanding of a patient and family during the course of his or her illness. Ryan demonstrates a true dedication to the nursing profession and has promoted the image of a professional nurse.

Ryan Whitcomb started his nursing career at Grand View Hospital in 2003 after graduating from Montgomery County Community College, Blue Bell. Currently he is a staff nurse on the Intensive Care/Coronary Care Unit.
Ryan resides in Barto with his wife Shelley.
