(Published October 27, 2006) West Rockhill Township — Grand View Hospital announced that it has been named one of 27 national companies to the Center for companies That Care Honor Roll. Marci Koblenz, co-founder and president of the organization, stated that Honor Roll recipients are selected for their deep commitment to elevating the quality of the work environment for their employees and the quality of life for people in the broader community.

Those named to the 2006 list feature national and local companies in diverse industries.

The Honor Roll is selected by an independent panel of veteran professionals in a variety of industries. Each of the organizations named to the Honor Roll sustains a work environment founded on dignity and respect for all employees, develops great leaders, communicates standards of ethics and integrity and participates in initiatives that support the community, among other outstanding attributes.

“Being named to the Honor Roll is quite an accomplishment because it requires a true commitment to employees and communities and detailed proof that a company adheres to all 10 characteristics of companies that care (as defined by the Center for Companies That Care). Given our rigorous evaluation process, we are truly excited to announce that the number of companies named to the Honor Roll increased by 60 percent this year. We applaud this year’s recipients, and are very pleased that a growing number of companies are interested in making their employees and communities a business priority,” says Koblenz.

Deborah Shanta, Director of Human Resources who received the award on behalf of Grand View Hospital stated, “This is a wonderful recognition of the culture here at Grand View. It acknowledges our efforts as an employer to provide work-life balances for our employees and also the commitment and hard work our employees make to the community.”

Grand View Hospital employs over 1,800 at 11 locations in Bucks County and was previously honored by the Greater Valley Child Care Council as an employer of Choice for Working Parents.
