Grand View Hospital's Industrial Medicine Program Keeps Your Employees Healthy and On the Job
Our Industrial Medicine Program provides area businesses with a comprehensive array of health-care services to help reduce illness and injury among employees. Treatment of injuries is available 24 hours a day at Grand View Hospital’s Emergency Department conveniently located off Route 309 near Sellersville. Other employee health services are available at the hospital, as well as our Harleysville Outpatient Center.
Established in 1988, the program currently services over 500 companies varying in size and industry. Existing clients range from small family-owned businesses to large pharmaceutical and industrial companies.
The program promotes safety and good health for employees in a cost-effective manner. Employers can chose from a menu of services to design a package that meets their specific needs.

Industrial Medicine Program Offers Numerous Services
- Physical Examinations - Pre-employment, routine annual or executive physical exams.
- Immunizations
- Injury Care and Follow-Up - Grand View’s Department of Emergency Medicine is open 24 hours every day. Recovering patients receive follow-up care at the hospital’s Industrial Medicine Center.
- Medical Surveillance
- Drug/Alcohol Testing Programs - Certified DOT (Department of Transportation) collections and MRO (Medical Review Officer) services available.
- Educational Training - Includes CPR, first aid, drug and alcohol abuse recognition and blood borne pathogens training.
- Diagnostic Testing - Includes EKG, cardiac stress testing, pulmonary function testing, laboratory services, radiology services, neurological testing, EMG and MRI.
- Hearing Conservation Program - CAOHC (Council for Accreditation in Hearing Conservation) trained and Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationists (COHC).

Realizing that solid communication is the cornerstone of effective patient management, the Industrial Medicine Program uses various tools to facilitate close ties among care providers, employers and employees. These tools include:

- Flexible scheduling for medical follow-up
- Direct telephone contact with designated company personnel
Quality Assurance
Trending and analysis of recurring health problems within the employee population can be provided. Reviews with company representatives may be scheduled as desired to discuss trends evident through injury reporting data.
Charges
Charges vary with the level of care provided. Any fees for supplies, diagnostic testing or referrals to medical specialists are separate from program charges. |
