Quakertown and surrounding areas. Our
office, conveniently located on Route 309
has two doctors, Alfred G. Vasta, MD, and
Kelly M. Kiernan, DO. As a result, we will
get to know you and your entire family
well. Our small professional staff provides
you with friendly and personal care.
Hours
Day and evening hours are available
including 24-hour coverage for weekends
and holidays.

Physical exams (annual, work, pre-op,
travel, sports, school, drivers and
annual gynecological)
- Routine medical care for high blood
pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol,
anxiety, depression and other chronic
conditions
- Cancer screening – skin, colon, prostate
and breast
- Well child care – age 10 and older
- Exercise prescription and program
design
- Behavioral modification, including
smoking cessation

- Minor skin surgery (moles, biopsies,

- Liquid nitrogen therapy for warts and

Our Physicians
Alfred G. Vasta, MD
Dr. Vasta received the
Physician Recognition
Award from the American
Medical Association. He is
a member of the American
Medical Association and
the Bucks County Medical
Society and Pennsylvania
Medical Society. He is
certified as an aviation
medical examiner by
the Federal Aviation
Administration.
Dr. Vasta received his medical degree from Jefferson
Medical College in Philadelphia and a bachelor’s
degree from Penn State University in University Park,
Pennsylvania.
Active in the community, Dr. Vasta has served on
the General Advisory Board of the Upper Bucks
Vocational-Technical School, Board of Deacons at St.
John’s Lutheran Church in Quakertown, past master
of Quakertown Lodge #512, F. & A.M., and the Upper
Bucks Senior Citizens Advisory Board. He is a past
president of the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce.
His professional interests include caring for older
adults. He resides in Quakertown with his wife, Vicki.
They have a grown son and daughter.
Kelly M. Kiernan, DO
Dr. Kiernan is a member
of the American Osteopathic
Association and the Pennsylvania
Osteopathic Medical
Association. She completed
a Nova Southeastern University/
College of Osteopathic
Medicine family practice residency
at Broward General
Medical Center in Fort
Lauderdale, Florida. She
completed a surgical
residency through the
Philadelphia College of
Osteopathic Medicine at Graduate Hospital.
Dr. Kiernan received her medical degree from the
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and a
bachelor’s degree in history from Barnard College,
Columbia University in New York City.
Her professional interests include women’s health.
Dr. Kiernan resides in Bucks County.
Raquel M. Tomaine, DO
Dr. Tomaine specializes in family medicine and preventative care. She focuses on the health of entire families, seeing patients as young as seven years old. Women’s health is of particular interest to Dr. Tomaine. She performs routine gynecological exams in a convenient office setting.
Dr. Tomaine completed her residency training at the University of Pennsylvania.

some specific information about
our office that you may find helpful.
Insurance
We accept most insurance plans including
Aetna, Keystone, Personal Choice,
Medicare, Cigna, Blue Cross and many
others. Please check with your insurance
company if you have questions.
Referrals
If you are a member of a Health
Maintenance Organization (HMO),
your health plan may require you to
obtain a referral from your family doctor
before seeing a specialist. When
requesting a referral, please call with
your appointment time, include the
specialist’s name and phone number,
the diagnosis and any procedures
needed. Our office requires 72 hours
to process your request, so please call
us at least three working days before
your scheduled appointment with the
specialist.
Medication Refills
Most medications can be refilled
over the phone without seeing the
doctor. Please allow 24 to 48 hours
to refill maintenance medications.
Test Results
Most results are available 48 to
72 hours after the test is completed.
Please call after this time to discuss
the results with the nurse or doctor.
Do not assume that because you did
not receive a call that the results were
negative.
Emergency Care
Dr. Vasta or Dr. Kiernan is available
by phone until 8 pm each weekday
evening. After that time, another Grand
View physician is available for your
urgent questions. Simply call the office
number and you will be connected to
the answering service. If you are an
HMO patient and desire to go to the
Emergency Room, please call the doctor
on call for insurance authorization.
