About Grand View Hospital - Your Support Matters For a hospital, compassion is a measure of the people who comprise the organization and the manner in which those people work to address the needs and wants of their patients. Grand View Hospital has an unparalleled reputation in our community as an institution where each patient is greeted as a neighbor and treated as a friend. Grand View is a not-for-profit hospital owned and operated by the community we serve. When you support the Grand View Health Foundation your gift stays here, helping the people in our service area of Upper Bucks and Northeastern Montgomery counties. Since 1913, Grand View has been committed to a mission of service to our community, and we have been dependent on the charitable gifts of our friends and neighbors to sustain our work and help our patients. Your gift today will help provide:
- Medical care for someone not covered by insuranceHospice care for a cancer patient Prenatal care for a mother who is struggling financially
- A scholarship for a student pursuing a career in nursing or allied health who wants to work for Grand View Hospital
Honor and Memorial Tributes Gifts made to honor or memorialize a loved one are gratefully accepted and acknowledged to the individual or family. The amount of your gift is confidential. Such tributes may be directed to any area of patient care or community programs offered by the Hospital, and are a heartfelt way to express your love and appreciation. Gifts of Cash You may choose to contribute by writing a check that will be put to work right away helping those who Grand View serves. You may even use your credit card to make an immediate gift. When you itemize your taxes your gifts are fully deductible. You may also make a gift to cover the medical expenses of another person without incurring gift taxes. Gifts of Appreciated Securities Stocks have begun to rebound, making it likely that you may have holdings in your portfolio that have greatly appreciated since you purchased them. When you give a gift of stock to the Grand View Health Foundation you dont pay the capital gains tax, and neither do we. When you itemize your deductions, you are also entitled to receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the stock at the time that you give it. While the value may not be as high as it was a year ago it may still be considerable higher than it was when you bought it. Since most stock dividends are quite low (1.5% or 2%) you would be giving up very little cash flow to make the gift.
Recognizing Your Gift
Through the generosity of our donors, Grand View Hospital is able to enhance the quality of healthcare services for our community. In appreciation of these gifts, we are pleased to offer recognition opportunities. Donors of $1,000 or more are considered Lifetime Members and receive invitations to special events throughout the year, including the Annual Dinner in September. Gifts of $100 and more are recognized in our Annual Report. The Charles J. Manderfield Society
Charles J. Manderfield was a quiet man whose simple lifestyle gave little hint of his true means or his generosity to Grand View Hospital. This society, named in his honor, seeks to recognize those donors whose lifetime of giving reflects Mr. Manderfield's commitment to charity. Gifts to Grand View Hospital and the Grand View Health Foundation on record through June 30, 2003, and totaling $25,000 or more, are honored and recognized here. Members are invited to special programs throughout the year, and their names are included on a Manderfield Society plaque located in the Main Lobby of the Hospital. HOW TO PROCEED
