Cancer Support Groups
Talk to Someone Who Has Walked the Walk

GVH Cancer Support Groups offer an opportunity to share your feelings and experiences.

Learning you have cancer may make you feel divided from the rest of the world. Although family and friends offer their support, they may not truly understand what you’re experiencing. And you may be concerned about how expressing your honest feelings could affect them. Sometimes you need the support of someone who has walked the road you’re traveling.

Grand View’s Cancer Support Groups offer a warm, supportive environment where you can speak freely with individuals who share your experiences. You’ll find comfort in talking with people who understand things you could never explain to someone who hasn’t had cancer. Fellow support group participants can give you practical advice from how to deal with side effects of cancer treatment to coping with fear.

Grand View has two cancer support groups – one specifically for breast cancer patients and the other for individuals with a variety of cancer diagnoses. Both groups are led by health-care professionals with years of experience in helping patients and their families and friends deal with a cancer diagnosis as well as the issues surrounding it.

For more information, call 215-453-4078 (breast cancer) or 215-453-4000 (general cancer).
