Grand View Hospital offers programs and services to guide you through breastfeeding your baby. Classes are held at Grand View Hospital. Private sessions are arranged based on need. Early registration will allow you to fit the classes into your schedule
Breastfeeding Basics
Learn the benefits of breastfeeding, tips for a positive start and how to handle common problems for mother and baby. Take this class before your baby is born.
Beyond the Basics of Breastfeeding
Now that you have breastfeeding established, do you have questions about what is normal for a breastfed baby? Learn how and when to start solid foods, about pumping and freezing breast milk, and going back to work. Babies welcome. Take this class after your baby is born.
Lactation Consultation
A certified lactation consultant is available to help you with breastfeeding. Arrangements can be made for home visits if necessary.
