Founded on a Mission
“Possibly the most important event that has transpired for some time in Sellersville was the grand opening of Grand View Hospital.”
—Central News, Perkasie, December 10, 1913

In 1913 a group of concerned local citizens gathered at a home in rural Bucks County to discuss the health needs of the surrounding communities. The result of that discussion was the formation of the Grand View Hospital Association and the building of Grand View Hospital. Today, in the form of the Board of Trustees of the Grand View Health Foundation and Grand View Hospital, concerned citizens continue to gather in the spirit of the founders, to ensure the continuance of essential health care services in the community.

On these pages, you are invited to share in the history of Grand View Hospital, from its origins in a three-story white frame house through its expansion to a multi-facility central campus with four outpatient centers providing convenient access to care throughout the region. Over the decades, the services offered have expanded, technology has advanced, and the community has grown. Grand View Hospital, however, has not wavered in fulfilling its mission: To endeavor to provide and coordinate the appropriate utilization of quality, cost-effective health care for the Upper Bucks and North-eastern Montgomery County communities which we serve.

Building on Tradition
"It is fortunate for the Upper Bucks-Mont community that Grand View Hospital has been able to remain economically healthy in a competitive environment.”
