Grand View Hospital Presents 2011 LOVE Award
(March 29, 2011) Sellersville, PA – Grand View Hospital recently presented Don Nibbelink of Lansdale with the LOVE (Life of Volunteer Excellence) award. Don has been part of Grand View Hospital’s volunteer program since January, 2010 and has contributed over 300 hours of service. He volunteers at the Recovery Room Thrift Shop.
Don was pleased with the medical care he received from Grand View and Lehigh Valley hospitals followings a heart attack. After receiving a mailing announcing the opening of Grand View’s new thrift shop, he and his wife Elsie decided to volunteer at Grand View.
Don’s creativity and willingness to do whatever that needs to be done, has helped transform a “farm house” into a lovely thrift shop. When he started volunteering, he was organizing and pricing items. Don improved the shop’s appearance by installing clothes racks on walls and setting up shelving.
Don enjoys volunteering because he gets to use his talents and time to benefit Grand View Hospital and meet the customers. He and Elsie have a daughter, three sons and nine grandchildren. |
