(June 22, 2011) Sellersville, PA – Grand View Hospital Auxiliary presented the hospital with an annual gift in the amount of $150,000 to benefit the Emergency Department expansion during its annual meeting held on June 15. This is the largest gift presented for the project to date and reflects dedication of a hard-working group of individuals who volunteer their time and talents to help make quality health care and state-of-the-art facilities available to the community.

Auxiliary members hold a variety of events throughout the year and participate in fundraising activities including: the Festival of Lights; a fashion show; geranium sales; Corner Cupboard Gift Shop; the Recovery Room Thrift Shop; the annual Auxiliary Golf Tournament, the upcoming Merry-Go-Run 5K and Family Fun Walk/Run; raffles; and many other activities. Fundraising efforts like these have enabled the Auxiliary to present the hospital with gifts totaling more than $3.3 million since 1990.

At its annual meeting, the Auxiliary recognized board member and Festival of Lights chair Irene Roberts as 2011 Auxilian of the Year for making considerable contributions to the Auxiliary since joining the organization in 2006. Outgoing president Martha Otto was recognized for her 34 years of dedicated service to the hospital and the Auxiliary.

  • President – Darlene Leidy
  • Vice President – Charlotte Schuletsky
  • Recording Secretary – Penny Markley
  • Corresponding Secretary – Barbara Matkowski
  • Treasurer – Joyce Barndt
  • Co-Treasurer – Jean Swartz
