Grand View Hospital Hospice Receives Donation from Liberty Lacers
(September 2, 2011) Sellersville, PA – Grand View Hospital’s Hospice department received a $1,000 donation from Liberty Lacers, the suburban Philadelphia chapter of International Old Lacers, Inc. (IOLI). The group raised the funds by holding a raffle with chances to win hand woven lace items made by its members The idea for the project was sparked by a similar event held in England where lace makers raised funds to benefit a hospice organization there.

“Since my mother experienced such wonderful care by Grand View Hospice, I suggested our members make a donation to the program,” said project coordinator Nikki Nelson. “Despite having a close relationship with her, I was overwhelmed caring for my mother by myself. Grand View Hospice answered all my questions and concerns and helped to make a difficult time a lot easier.”

Grand View Hospital Hospice Department Manager Carol Halcovage said, “Making someone more comfortable, whether managing their pain or just being there, is one of the many ways hospice can make a difference.” Grand View Hospice is a not-for-profit organization and this generous donation helps us provide care to people in need.”
