|(April 15, 2013) Sellersville, PA -- Grand View Medical Company, an affiliate of Grand View Hospital, has been named a quality respiratory care provider for patients of home care organizations by the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC).
This is the third time Grand View achieved Quality Respiratory Care Recognition (QRCR) by providing care from respiratory therapists (RTs) whose qualifications are consistent with AARC requirements and national standards and guidelines. AARC started the quality recognition program in 2003 to help consumers make informed choices about their health care.
“The commitment of our respiratory therapists and staff to providing the highest quality care is our priority,” said Donna Manning, Director of Post Acute Care at Grand View Hospital. “Grand View’s qualified, state-licensed therapists are pleased to be recognized by the AARC once again as a sign of our dedication to patient care.”
RTs are specially trained and licensed healthcare professionals assisting physicians in diagnosis, treatment, and management of respiratory diseases. Grand View RTs provide care in patients’ homes, and in extended care and skilled facilities.
In addition to licensed RTs, the Grand View respiratory team includes certified driver technicians and third-party billing specialists to assist with home care needs.
