Mothers of Preschoolers Group Donates Gifts for Moms of Children Hospitalized in Grand View’s Pediatrics Unit
Members of Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) from Covenant Presbyterian Church in Harleysville donated gifts for moms of children hospitalized in the pediatrics unit at Grand View Hospital. With her own youngsters in tow to deliver gift baskets filled with magazines, games, books, and other items, member Marci Thear said, “We decided to give moms something to help them pass the time while their child is in the hospital. These moms rarely have time to think of themselves so we decided to do something special for them.” Pediatrics Clinical Coordinator Kathy Shafer, RN, said as she accepted the generous donation, “What a thoughtful idea! This is the first time we’ve received something for the moms. These will be greatly appreciated.”
