Phillies World Series Champion Pitcher Jamie Moyer Coming Home to Souderton to Speak at Health Seminar Hosted by Grand View Hospital
Phillies World Series champion pitcher Jamie Moyer is coming back to his hometown of Souderton to speak at a health seminar hosted by Grand View Hospital. Jamie and his wife Karen are the keynote speakers at the seminar complete with a health fair, themed “Well into the Future.” The event is being held in honor of Grand View’s 100th Anniversary.

Jamie, who was born at Grand View Hospital, will share his personal story about making it to the big leagues and secrets to his extraordinarily long career - one that landed him in the record books last year as the oldest pitcher to win a Major League Baseball game. The couple will also talk about off-field wins made for children in need through the Moyer Foundation.

Following the keynote address, Grand View affiliated physicians will give health tips designed to help families and people of all ages score a homerun for their own health. In the health fair area, event-goers will have an opportunity to get free health screenings and speak one-on-one with physicians and medical professionals on topics including sports medicine, heart health, and women’s and children’s health. The Well into the Future event will be held at Calvary Church in Souderton on Friday, April 19 from 7 to 9 pm. Doors open to health fair activities at 6 pm.  Tickets cost $20 per person or $50 for a family pack (two adults and two children up to age 21). Children must be 8 years or older to attend. Registration for the event is required. Tickets to see the local baseball hero are selling fast. For more information or to register, visit www.gvh100.org or call the Well Into the Future event registration line at 215-453-4727.
