Colorful New Banners Mark Grand View Hospital’s 100th Anniversary
(September 12, 2012) Sellersville, PA – Bucks County’s first hospital, Grand View, is turning 100! In honor of this historic milestone, workers installed fresh, new banners on the lampposts lining Lawn Avenue and throughout the surrounding hospital campus. Helping create a welcoming environment Grand View is known for, some banners bear the words “100 Years” while others showoff a vibrant new Centennial logo designed in honor of the anniversary. A symbol depicts the copper-topped roofs on the hospital and outpatient centers that shelter all who enter. The accompanying words express Grand View’s commitment to keeping the community “Well Into the Future.”
The fresh Centennial look graces the hospital’s 2012 Annual Report and a special video produced in honor of the historic occasion. The seven-minute feature traces highlights of the hospital from its early beginnings in 1913, to present day. The public is invited to view the video and other items on a special Centennial website, www.gvh100.org expected to launch September 19th. The Centennial website also includes:
- A pictorial timeline of key historic milestones in hospital history
- Profiles of key people in Grand View’s history
- Stories about Grand View milestones, Auxiliary, and School of Nursing
- Recognition of long-time employees, volunteers, and physicians
- A place to share your own Grand View story
