GVH Announces Ellis Greenspan Memorial Award Recipient Nancy Baith, RN
(May 11, 2012) Sellersville, PA – Grand View Hospital is pleased to announce Telemetry Unit nurse Nancy Baith, RN of Sellersville is the recipient of the 2012 Ellis Greenspan Memorial Award. Baith, who cares for and monitors patients with heart conditions, has worked at the hospital since 1984.She said, “I am very grateful and honored to receive this award.”
The award was established in memory of Ellis Greenspan by his son, cardiologist Mitchell M. Greenspan, MD and other members of the family. It is presented annual to recognize a registered or licensed practical nurse at Grand View who is a role model of nursing professionalism and delivers excellence in patient care. Compassion, understanding, and exceptional communication skills are among the nomination criteria. Baith was nominated by an anonymous co-worker who said, “Nancy is a highly competent nurse who strives to provide the highest level of care for her patients by collaborating with all disciplines. Her valuable expertise aids her in being a strong patient advocate to assure all the patient’s needs are met or exceeded."

Baith and the other nominees were recognized at a special ceremony held on May 9th attended by Dr. Greenspan and his mother, physicians and staff, and other members of the Grand View community. Patients and their families as well as Grand View staff and physicians make nominations for the Greenspan award each spring.
