"Bra For A Cause" Raises Funds for Breast Care Services at Grand View Hospital
SELLERSVILLE, Pa - Friends and customers of Chantilly Floral participated in a bra decorating contest held by Chantilly Floral in Harleysville and Lansdale, raising $544 benefitting breast cancer care by Grand View Hospital. The "Bra For A Cause" fundraiser, a first for the floral shop, was organized by owner Charles Booz. "This was a fun way to raise funds to help treat women with breast cancer care right here in our community."

For a $10 donation, contestants were encouraged to be colorful, original, and inspiring with their creations. They decorated entries with feathers, fringe, sequence, lace, jewels, braids, and other embellishments. Creativity spanned themes including "Lady Bra Bra," Victorian, sports, Western, and more. An Irish theme one was entered by an anonymous donor who lost a friend to breast cancer earlier this year. It is dedicated to "all the men, women, and children who care for these women during the battle of their lives."

Grand View's Breast Care Coordinator Cathy Haberle, RN said, "We plan to display these creations in our outpatient centers where women can enjoy and be inspired by them when they come in for their mammograms."
