Grand View Hospital Presents “Love Award”
(January 5, 2010) Sellersville, PA — Grand View
Hospital presented Chuck Griffith of Dublin with the LOVE (Life of
Volunteer Excellence) award. Chuck has been a volunteer in the Surgical
Short Stay Unit since 2003 and has contributed over 1800 hours of service.
He is responsible for labeling and collating pre-admission packets for
surgical patients. His support is instrumental in keeping the department
organized.
Following a car accident resulting in serious injuries,
it took a great deal of time and effort for him to regain his physical
strength and coordination. As a result, he is quite proud to be able to
help others. Chuck was delighted to have the opportunity to give back and
Grand View has been fortunate to have his support for the past five years.
Chuck has many strengths. Foremost is his good sense of humor;
he’s always ready with a funny story or joke and never fails to come in
with a smile. He is also known for his gift of gab. As a former salesman,
Chuck was very successful and known for his ability to sell tools over the
phone. Most sales people weren’t as successful in person as he was on the
phone.
In his spare time, Chuck enjoys watching TV, tending to his
aquarium of angel fish and plants – including a banana tree. |
