Learning about Varicose Vein Treatment:
A Valentine Gift with Heart

(February 9, 2010) Sellersville, PA – This Valentine’s Day, Grand View Hospital is inviting women suffering from varicose veins, a type of vascular condition with many of the same risk factors as heart disease, to learn more about it and their treatment options at a special event this spring. The evening Taking Care of You: A Special Evening of Pampering & Wellness for Women will be held on Friday, April 16 from 6 – 9:30 pm at the Grand View Hospital Outpatient Center at Sellersville.

Edwin Martin, MD, Interventional Radiologist at Grand View Hospital, will talk about the latest options to treat varicose veins as well as ways to reduce pain, enhance circulation, and improve the appearance of your legs.

“This is an exciting time for interventional radiologists to be involved in imaging and treatment of vascular disease,” says Dr. Martin. “We are happy to be able to offer more effective non-surgical options than ever before.”

In addition to varicose vein treatment, guests can also learn about several women’s topics from local physicians. Other topics include balancing a busy life, managing headaches, keeping skin young, helping prevent sleepless nights, and learning about the myths surrounding your biological clock. To accommodate the schedules of busy women, seminars begin at 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30 pm. The cost is $20 per person and also includes one mini-spa session, hearty appetizers beginning at 6 pm, beverages, desserts and more. Registration is required.
