Grand View Hospital Helps Women Bring on Spring: Women’s Event Features Spa Services to Help Winter-Related Ailments
(February 24, 2010) Sellersville, PA – The bitter-cold temperatures and gusty winds of winter are still with us and as a result, many women may suffer from dry skin, stiffness, or stress. To help women feel better and get ready for spring, Grand View Hospital is hosting a special women’s night featuring mini-spa services from local businesses. The event, Taking Care of You: An Evening of Pampering & Wellness for Women will be held on Friday, April 16 from 6:30 – 9:30 pm at the Grand View Outpatient Center at Sellersville.

Guests will also learn about how to help keep skin healthy and young-looking during a lecture by board-certified dermatologist, Daniel Shrager, MD, a member of Grand View’s medical staff.

Each guest may choose one of the following mini-spa sessions, which are held throughout the evening:
  • Mini-Facial
Relieving stress and feeling rejuvenated are the goals of each mini-facial session, provided by Sage Day Spa of Telford. Each session includes facial cleansing and moisturizing; massage of pressure points, head, and neck; a facial mask, as well as lip and eye treatment.
  • Hand Paraffin & Moist Heat Treatment
Helping skin look and feel softened, Grand View’s certified hand therapists will provide hand paraffin and moist heat treatments. They will also teach guests about self-hand massages, hand exercises, and ways to protect hands from the wear-and-tear of daily life.
  • Foot Reflexology & Paraffin Treatment
Providing a holistic approach to stress relief, reflexology intercepts stress signals to bring balance to the body. Paraffin, a comforting hot-wax treatment, helps open pores and increase circulation to the skin, leaving skin softened. Both treatments are offered by Sage Day Spa of Telford.
  • Chair Massage
Helping reduce stress, a chair massage from a trained and experienced massage therapist helps relax the back, neck, and shoulders.
  • Chocolate Yoga Class
Blending music, yoga, chocolate, and aromatherapy, chocolate yoga is designed to help relieve stress, stimulate imagination, and ease body aches and pains. The class is provided by MOYO Yoga of Skippack.

In addition to a mini-spa session, guests may also choose from a variety of women’s health seminars led by physicians. To accommodate the schedules of busy women, seminars will begin at 6:30, 7:30, or 8:30 pm; with appetizers beginning at 6 pm. Participants may attend one or all three seminars.
