Grand View Medical Company Named Quality Respiratory Care Provider
(July 20, 2010) Sellersville, Pa – Grand View Medical Company, an affiliate of Grand View Hospital, has been named a quality respiratory care provider for residents of home care organizations as recognized by the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC).
Grand View achieved Quality Respiratory Care Recognition (QRCR) for providing respiratory care by qualified respiratory therapists whose qualifications are consistent with AARC requirements and national standards and guidelines. “Grand View Medical Company therapists and our entire staff are committed to providing the highest quality care and we’re proud to receive this recognition as a sign of our quality,” according to Barry Gorin, CRT, Assistant General Manager of Grand View Medical Company.
AARC started the quality recognition program in 2003 to help consumers make informed choices about their health care. To qualify for the recognition, Grand View met the following conditions:
- All respiratory therapists employed are legally recognized by the commonwealth as properly credentialed.
- Respiratory therapists are available to patients 24 hours every day.
- Other personnel qualified to perform specific respiratory therapy procedures, and the amount of supervision required for them to perform the specific procedures is designated in writing.
- The organization is accredited by a nationally recognized, third-party accreditation organization.
Respiratory therapists (RTs) are specially trained and licensed respiratory health care professionals assisting physicians in diagnosis, treatment, and management of respiratory diseases. Grand View RTs provide care in patient’s homes and in extended care and skilled facilities.
Grand View Medical Company has offered state of the art respiratory equipment, ambulatory aids, and medical equipment and supplies since 1985. Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and include same-day delivery, equipment set-up and instruction. On staff, Grand View has licensed respiratory therapists, certified driver technicians and third-party billing specialists to assist with home care needs. Grand View Medical Company is Joint Commission accredited and participates with Medicare, Managed Care and most other private insurances.
