An orthopaedic surgeon is a physician who specializes in the musculoskeletal system, which includes joints, bones, tendons, muscles, and nerves. Most orthopaedic surgeons specialize in a particular area of the body such as the knee, hip, shoulder, back, foot, ankle, and others.
Together, you and your orthopaedic surgeon decide when it is time for you to undergo a joint replacement. As your surgeon, he/she performs your joint replacement and handles your follow-up care.
Orthopaedic surgeons on Grand View's medical staff are among the most experienced in the area. Click here to find an orthopaedic surgeon.
